Today we are going to introduce you to our Butterfly Pea Flower tea.
Butterfly Pea Flower has been all the rage lately, as it turns things blue. People will often dye their rice or t-shirts with it. You'll find it everywhere, but how does it taste as a tea?
To make a cup we will use one teaspoon of
Butterfly Pea Flower per eight ounces of water. Next we will take 212 degree water (water to a boil) and pour it over our Butterfly Pea Flower. Next set a timer for 5 minutes, after the time is up pour the tea over a hand mesh strainer. If you're using a tea bag or hand mesh strainer
now would be the time to remove that. It's very natural and earthy. It's not for everybody, but some people really do love that natural flavor.
We took this tea and we made our Blue Tea. Our Blue Tea has mango, passion fruit, lemon and mint to make a cup that tastes blue; kind of the way this tea looks. And that's our Butterfly Pea Flower. You can find it here, available in loose leaf as one of our Premium Series teas.
Cheers,
